A low table in colourless resin with no legs under it. The top is flat and square-edged, polished level, and reads as a plain slab from above. Underneath, the same mass is drawn down into a run of irregular lobes and columns that reach the floor at short feet, so the whole underside is modelled and the object is a solid piece rather than a top on a frame.
The two halves of this object disagree with each other, and that is the design. Above the mid line everything is orthogonal: a true flat plane, a crisp arris at every edge, and a band of material of even depth all the way round. Below it nothing is straight. The mass gathers into three or four heavy lobes with narrow waists between them, some reaching the ground and some stopping short in a rounded end, and the surface across all of them is rippled in the manner of poured water arrested. Because the resin is entirely colourless, the underside collects and folds whatever is behind the table, and the arrangement of light and dark down there changes with every step you take around it. From directly above the piece is almost invisible; from a seated height it is the busiest thing in the room.
This is a large low table at coffee height. It has to be seen from the side to make any sense, so a room that lets seating sit around it rather than pushed hard against it earns far more. The underside is also the reason to keep it off a patterned rug: a plain pale floor lets the lobes read as form, and a busy floor turns them into noise. Nothing needs to go under the feet. A lamp low and to one side is the light that suits it, and a downlight puts everything into the flat top and loses the rest. Indoor use only.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The weight is the reason: a solid piece at this plan size is very heavy, so the route in is checked before the order is taken rather than after. Its plan is set at order, and where the table will be sat at rather than beside, the slab above the modelled part can be increased in depth. The number of lobes reaching the floor is a choice: three gives a long clear span and five reads more like a formation. It can also be built as a narrow bench, and then the top itself is used as a seat. Colour can be carried in the material, a smoke grey or a pale blue for instance, though a tint takes away the trick that colourless resin plays. It travels in one crate on a purpose-built pallet, is a four-person carry, and needs no assembly at all. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A slab above and melting lobes below put this table in our art furniture; the poured underside suits our organic sculptures, and the clear mass our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
