This sculpture in A-grade acrylic is an acoustic guitar carved whole: the waisted body with its soft shoulders, the rosette of small cut dots ringing the sound hole, the bridge, the fretted neck and four tuners at the head. Everything that would be a different material on a real instrument is the same material here, so the whole thing is read through itself, one detail overlaying the next. It is held upright in a clear acrylic stand of three fins, which comes with it.
Carving an instrument in a colourless body removes the one thing that normally separates its parts. On a guitar the fingerboard is dark, the soundboard pale and the rosette inlaid, and the eye uses those changes to find the form; take them away and only depth of cut is left to do the work. So the frets are cut deep enough to catch light as a row of lines, the rosette is cut as a ring of small facets rather than a plain groove, and the sound hole is left as an actual opening so there is one place the eye can rest. The A grade matters at this thickness because an ordinary panel carries enough internal haze to grey out the far side of the body.
A 120cm instrument is a single-object piece and it wants a wall or a corner of its own: a music room, a study, a studio, the end of a long hall. Light from one side is what finds the frets and the rosette, where a flat wash from the front loses both. A dark ground behind it reads best, since a colourless carving needs something to be seen against. Give it space in front rather than pushing it into a recess, because the body is shaped in two directions and the shoulders only register from an angle.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Scale is the main variable and the instrument is cut to whatever size the position wants. The clarity grade can be raised, which shows more of the far side of the body through the near side, and a frosted finish is offered where less transparency is wanted. A tint can be put through the material. The depth of the fret cuts and the treatment of the rosette are both open. It can be made with a fixing on the back so that it hangs on a wall. It arrives complete and is a two-person handling job, carried at the body rather than the neck. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Four tuners and a fretted neck in clear acrylic belong with our indoor sculptures; a rosette of cut dots round an open sound hole points to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a whole instrument machine-carved in colourless acrylic joins our acrylic sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
