This sculpture is a lion in clear resin on top of a tall column of dark fibreglass, and the two come together as one piece. The lion's head and mane are left glassy and cut in loose, flowing locks, while the body beneath them is frosted, so the mane reads clear against a milky mass. The column is square and almost black, with a rough, broken surface and a plain foot, which makes the clear figure on its top the brightest thing in a room.
Clear and frosted resin meet in one figure here, and the line where one gives way to the other is settled before the surface is finished, since a frosted area cannot be taken back to clear without the change showing. The mane is cut in long separate locks that catch the light along their edges and is polished to full clarity, so at a distance it reads as glass. The column is fibreglass given a rough, stony surface in a near-black colour, a deliberate contrast with the smooth figure it carries, and its top is shaped to seat the lion.
At 164cm the lion sits at about eye level, so the piece belongs on the floor where it can be walked up to: either side of an entrance, at the turn of a stair or at the end of a long hall. The column almost disappears against a dark wall and stands out against a pale one, while the clear lion takes whatever light falls on it, so a window or a light from above suits it best.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Lion and column are sold together as one piece, and the price covers both. The mane can be frosted to match the body, or the whole lion polished clear, and the column can be finished in a different dark tone or given a smoother surface. Columns of other heights are made to order. Lion and column travel in one crate, each packed in its own compartment, and two people should handle the column. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear lion lifted high on near-black fibreglass belongs with our lion statues; a glassy mane over a frosted body leads to our figurative sculptures, and clear resin set over a rough stony pillar joins our resin sculptures.

Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
