This clear beam holds copper-toned leaves at many depths, some close under the top face and some far down towards the underside. The top is worked into concentric rings that spread from several points along the length, like rain falling on standing water, and the beam is carried on a squared stainless steel frame.
The leaves lie flat rather than tilted, and they sit at clearly different depths from one another, which is what gives the beam its thickness to look into. Those nearest the top face read sharply and hold their veining; the deeper ones soften into the resin and read as colour alone. The ring pattern is part of the top surface itself, felt as a relief under a palm, and it spreads from several separate centres so no two stretches of the beam are alike; where a ring passes over a leaf the two read together. The frame is set in from both ends, so the beam overhangs it.
The seat takes two at a stretch and is narrow enough for a hall, a landing or the end of a bed. It earns its place where it can be looked down into, which is why a hall or a run of glazing suits it better than a dim corner. Light from above is what brings the leaves out; light from the front simply reflects off the rings. Because the beam is clear the steel frame is fully visible through it, and the frame is set in from the ends so the beam appears to float. Indoor use only.
The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Leaf type and density are both specified at order and they interact, which is worth thinking about together rather than separately: a sparse scatter of large leaves reads as a few deliberate objects held in the resin, while a dense one of small leaves reads as a single autumn drift and hides the rings under it. A green or a bleached leaf is used in place of the copper tone, the green being much quieter and the bleached one the most graphic against a dark floor. The beam can be cut to other lengths, and the frame can be brushed, darkened or polished to a mirror, the mirror version disappearing under the beam almost entirely. Beam and frame travel separately and are bolted together through the underside on site, with the beam kept flat and face up throughout, because the ring surface will scuff against a hard edge and a scuff on a relief cannot be polished out the way one on a flat face can. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Copper leaves held in a rippled clear beam make a bench for our art furniture; the squared frame below links it to our metal sculptures and, in its material, to our stainless steel sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
