Clear Khaki Sliver Windowed Crag Rock Resin Sculpture - 51cm
Clear Khaki Sliver Windowed Crag Rock Resin Sculpture - 51cm $2,29300
Description

This crag of imported clear resin rises on the left as a tall, angular block with a high pointed top, then steps down to the right into a rounded, lumpy mass. Between those two masses the foot opens into a broad arch, and the rock rests on two solid feet. Its surface alternates between smooth, glassy windows and crinkled, crystalline patches, and through the windows slender khaki slivers can be seen, curved like small blades and pointed at the tips.

Khaki Blades Behind Glassy Windows

The windows are broad, flat planes polished to a high clarity, framed by rough, sparkling areas that look like freshly broken ice, so the eye is drawn deep into the rock at some points and held at the surface at others. The slivers are thin and gently curved, a muted khaki shading to smoky taupe, lying at varied depths and tilts, a few half hidden behind the crystalline texture. The rock stands directly on its own two feet, and it reads well from the front and from either end, with the arch framing a view right under it.

On a coffee table it can be walked around and looked into from above, and a desk, a sideboard or a broad side table will take it just as comfortably. A plain surface beneath it keeps the glassy windows bright, and side light from a lamp catches the khaki blades. In a study it makes a good object to turn towards between pages. Indoor use only.

Its Windows, the Slivers and the Packing

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. The price buys one rock, sold individually. As a commission the khaki slivers can be replaced with dried leaves or flakes of gold leaf, more of the surface can be opened into glassy windows, and the arch can be made broader; further sizes are available to order. It is packed in a padded carton with foam worked into the arch, and it should be lifted by the solid left-hand block rather than by its feet. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Khaki blades glimpsed through the polished windows of a clear crag lead naturally to our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
