A cast resin sculpture in the form of a dome, close to half a sphere, colourless under an iridescent film. It is a good deal wider than it is tall, its sides coming down almost upright to the rim, and the wall is thick enough that the edge shows as a band of solid material rather than a line. The film sits on the surface and not in the body, so the colour is a sheen that moves as you move: green and violet through the crown, with a teal blue and a touch of rose, clearing almost to colourless where the sides steepen towards the rim. Underneath, the whole floor is visible through it.
A curved surface is the hard place to put an iridescent film, and it is worth saying why. On a flat panel the film shows one colour to a given viewer, because every part of the surface stands at the same angle to the eye. On a dome no two parts of the surface do, so the film returns a whole gradient at once and any unevenness in how it was laid becomes a stripe rather than a patch. The resin has to be optically clean first: on a curve this smooth, a bubble that would be lost in a slab reads as a mark. Then the surface is brought to a true polish across the whole curve, because the film records the surface it was laid on and a flat spot in the polish shows as a flat spot in the colour. The rim is worked last, square and even, so the dome sits down without rocking.
Being low and wide, this is a table piece rather than a shelf one. It wants to be looked down on from standing height, which is where the gradient across the crown resolves, so a low coffee table or a broad ottoman tray suits it better than a bookcase. Put it where light arrives from the side rather than straight down: overhead light bounces off the crown and washes the film out, while raking light drags the colour across the curve. It reads best on a dark or plain surface, since whatever it stands on is visible through it and a patterned cloth competes with the sheen.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The film is specified at order: this green-to-violet shift, a single cool tint, a warm gold, or a plain untreated clear dome with no film at all. The body can be tinted through instead of surfaced, which gives a steadier colour and loses the movement. Diameter and rise are both open, from a small paperweight up to a piece that needs two hands to shift, and the wall thickness goes with it. It is lifted by the rim rather than the crown, so that no hand rests on the polished curve. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A dome keeps to pure form, so it shelves with abstract sculpture, is poured like everything in cast resin sculpture, and holds its film best among indoor sculpture.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
