This cast resin sculpture is a horse cut off behind the shoulder. What is left is the head, the neck, the chest and both forelegs, with the mane running back along the crest, and the whole of it comes down onto a single foreleg planted on a steel plate. The head is lowered and turned in, so the muzzle points back toward the chest rather than out. The resin is clear and polished; the plate under it is mirror-finished stainless steel.
A figure that ends in the middle has to be resolved at the cut, not faded out. The section behind the shoulder is left as a clean face with the same polish as the rest, so the eye reads a deliberate edge instead of a break, and the muscles that would carry on are taken right up to that face and stopped. Balancing the mass on one foreleg is the other half. Everything above the knee leans forward of the foot, so the leg is cut heavier than a horse's really is where it meets the plate and drawn out again above; the plate itself is thick enough to hold that load without a rib under it, which is why it is steel and not resin.
With its plate, this reads as an object on a surface rather than a floor piece: a console, a broad sideboard or a low cabinet with space in front of it. The cut face wants to be turned slightly away from the way people arrive, so the head reaches into the room. The steel plate picks up whatever it stands on and doubles it, so a plain surface serves it better than a patterned one. Light from one side finds the mane and the hollow of the throat; a light overhead flattens both.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The head can be set at order from this lowered turn to a raised, forward-looking head, and the animal is made from the shoulder as here or from further back through the barrel. The resin takes a smoke, an amber or a green, and a frosted body is offered where the polish is too bright. The plate is made in this mirror steel, in a brushed finish, or in black stone. Scale goes up to a full-size horse's head and beyond. It arrives with the plate cased separately and seated on site; take the weight under the chest, never by a foreleg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
The front half of a horse belongs with our horse sculptures; a head lowered and turned in leads to our animal sculptures, and a mirror plate of stainless steel joins our metal sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
