Clear Honey Footed Standing Rock Resin Sculpture, 44cm, frosted white at the head fading to honey at the base, on a black stone stand, plain white background.
Clear Honey Footed Standing Rock Resin Sculpture - 44cm $1,68700
Description

A rock standing upright, frosted white at the head and running honey through the foot. It is notched at the head and folded the whole way up, so the outline changes completely as it is walked round. It is narrow for its height, and it is supplied with a black stone to stand on.

Dark at the Foot Is a Rock, Not a Mountain

A mountain is pale at the top and dark at the bottom, because snow is at the top. This is the same arrangement and it reads as something else entirely, because the object is upright and narrow rather than broad: a stone standing in shallow water, stained where it has been wet and bleached where it has not. The grade is the same and the subject has changed, which is the argument for drawing the form first and deciding the colour afterwards rather than the other way about.

It changes outline from every angle, so it belongs where it can be walked round rather than set against a wall. An island or a plinth standing free gives it that. It is narrow on plan and stands 44cm on its stone, so it fits where a range could not, and a dark ground behind it lifts the white head clear.

The Grade, the Stone, and Getting It Home

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Two ends in two tones, and which end takes which is the one decision this piece hands to whoever orders it. The two ends are swapped over, a grey replaces the honey, and the stone comes in other sizes. Inverted, the identical form reads as a mountain again, which shows what colour alone does to a subject. It is sent upright in a braced box with the stone apart, and it is set on its marble on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A stone standing upright in two tones belongs with our organic sculptures; honey running through a frosted foot places it in our resin sculptures, and a rock walked round on an island suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
