A clear resin boulder, rounded and uneven like a stone that water has worked for a very long time, broader at the foot and swelling to a softly domed top. It is hollow, and its walls are clear enough for the room behind it to be seen through them, bent and doubled by the curves.
A boulder is expected to be the heaviest, most opaque thing in a room, and this one is neither: it keeps the form of a stone and gives up the weight and the opacity. It is hollow, and the uneven walls are what the eye reads, since every change in their thickness shows as a change in the clearness of the stone. The surface is left with gentle irregularities rather than polished flat, since a smooth sphere would read as glass and not as stone, and the flow lines within the walls are kept, because they are what make it look worn.
At 91cm it needs floor space in a living room or an entrance where it can be walked round, since it changes from every side. A plain wall or a planted background behind it gives the walls something to bend. Light from behind makes it glow at the edges. At a distance it is only a clear stone; the bent reflections inside it are a discovery made close up.
It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. There are three things to decide at the order. The boulder can be drawn rounder or more irregular, the surface can be left rippled or smoothed further, and the walls can be given a light tint. A more irregular form bends the view through it more strongly. It travels upright in a padded crate of its own, and two people can move it once it is out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A water-worn stone in clear form is organic sculpture in spirit and resin sculpture in make, and it needs the floor space our indoor sculpture is sized for.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
