Clear High Clarity Twin Crest Resin Sculpture, 110cm, by Giant Sculptures, two uneven wave crests rising from a low spray trough, on a plain white background.
Clear High Clarity Twin Crest Resin Sculpture - 110cm $5,90200
Description

This colourless wave breaks into two crests with a long, low trough between them, and it is cast from resin of a high-clarity grade. The two crests are different heights and lean towards each other, and the greater of them stands about a third of the way along, which keeps the piece from reading as symmetrical. Between them the trough throws up a cluster of short fingers, and low sprays reach out at either end. Nothing on it is tinted.

A Clearer Grade Right Across the Span

Clarity is a property you only notice when it is missing, and you notice it most across a long span. A slight cloudiness in a small piece reads as depth; the same cloudiness along a long, low span reads as a fault, because the eye has the clear end to compare the dull one against. That is why it is cast in a high-clarity grade of resin. It also raises the standard on everything else: a clearer body shows an edge that was not quite finished, a surface that came out a shade duller, and any inclusion at all, none of which a slightly milky material would have carried for you.

Clarity is what it is for, so it wants light passing through it rather than falling on it. A window ledge is the obvious answer and a lit alcove the next; a spotlight above it puts a bright band on the top surfaces and leaves the body dead, which wastes the grade entirely. It wants plenty of length and very little depth, which makes it a piece for a long shelf rather than a table.

The Ordinary Grade, the Length, and Delivery

Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. The resin is a high-clarity grade, because at this length any cloudiness would show across the whole span. The same wave is made in the ordinary clear resin, which costs less, the length is cut to order, and the two crests are drawn to different heights. The trough between them is deepened or filled at order, which changes the profile more than the crests do. It ships flat in a single long case with both crests faced and the trough bedded, and it is lifted by the trough, never by a crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two crests over one long trough is organic sculpture; the clearer grade is still resin sculpture; and clarity like this only survives indoor sculpture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
