Here the guardian lion is clear resin, with only a few flakes of gold caught in its mane, and it sits front facing on a tall square column of the same clear material. The column has a fluted band below its cap and a light scatter of gold leaf down the shaft. Both lion and column are supplied.
With the lion left clear, the piece is about light rather than colour: the mane and the collar are cut deep so their shadows give the head its form, and every face is polished so the flakes glint inside. The flakes in the lion are few, kept to the mane. The scatter of leaf in the shaft is light, which keeps the column airy beneath the lion. The fluted band gives the top of the shaft a capital, and the edges run sharp to the foot. No two castings place the flakes alike, so each column has its own scatter.
At 151cm it is a floor piece that lifts the lion to eye level, beside a doorway, along a hall or where a stair turns. Set against a dark wall the clear lion and column shine; against white they read as a pale outline with flashes of gold. A light directed at the lion from above makes the clear resin shine.
Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. The lion can be gilded, tinted or left clear as here, and the leaf in the column can be made denser or left out. Silver or copper flakes can stand in for the gold, and a tint of smoke or amber can run through the lion. The capital can be carved plain instead of fluted. A mirror-image lion can be ordered for a pair, and the column made to a different height. Crated at full length, it needs two people on site. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear guardian lion raised on a flecked column belongs with our lion statues; a deep-cut mane and collar lead to our figurative sculptures, and clear resin glinting with gold joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
