A hind with her head right down, this cast resin sculpture has the muzzle almost touching the ground and the neck at full stretch. The resin is clear and polished, so the floor shows through the underside of the barrel and the room runs along the flank, and nothing about the surface is a colour the animal owns. Because the head is down, the back is the only long line in the piece, running unbroken from the haunch over the shoulder to the poll.
A clear body and a single long curve are a demanding pair, because the polish reports every fault in the curve. A ripple that would be invisible on a matt surface shows in clear resin as a kink in whatever is seen through it, so the back is brought true by sighting along it from the haunch and correcting by feel rather than by eye. The neck is the other passage. At full stretch it is the piece's slenderest run and it still carries the head, so it is cut a little fuller than a hind's really is and the extra goes into the top line, where the curve absorbs it.
A grazing animal reads along its length, so it wants a run of clear floor rather than a surface: the middle of a large room, a wide landing, a garden room, the space in front of a window. Leave the ground in front of the muzzle empty, because that is what the animal is reaching for. A clear body is only as lively as what lies behind it: against planting or a patterned rug it comes alive, and against a plain white wall it reads as a pale outline.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The resin can stay clear as here, be frosted to take the glare down, or carry an amber or smoke tint right through. The head can be set anywhere between this deep graze and a raised, alert one, and antlers can be added to make a stag of it. The scale is open at order. She is crated standing, her legs braced; take the weight under the barrel and wear gloves, because a polished surface takes a fingerprint. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A hind bent to the grass belongs with our animal sculptures; a back drawn as a single unbroken line leads to our deer statues, and a clear animal for a large room joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
