This bench is a single thick slab of clear acrylic, its top worked into a close even grain that carries from one end to the other. Two polished metal blocks stand under it, both a long way inside their own ends, so a good length of panel reaches out with nothing beneath it at either side. It is priced as one bench rather than by length.
A panel this long is not a bigger version of the benches before it; it is a different job at every stage. The panel has no join anywhere along its length, since a join would read as a line through a clear body, and a panel this long needs a heavy section to stay true. The grain is worked after the panel has been left to stand, because a panel worked too soon moves afterwards and takes its texture out of true. The blocks are the only opaque elements and are set in from the ends deliberately: bringing them to the corners would make the piece read as a table.
At this length the bench becomes architecture and wants a wall to match: a lobby, a gallery landing, the long side of a hall in a large house. Two people sit on it comfortably and four at a push. The overhangs are the point of it, so nothing should be pushed up against either end. Light along the wall does more for the grain than light from the front. Check the route in before ordering, since the panel cannot be turned in a narrow stair.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. Length is cut to order and this is the size at which the panel starts to dictate its own thickness, so a longer run is quoted with a heavier section. Grain depth can be taken to a coarse break or a fine tooth, and the panel is offered plain. Block position along the length is open, and the blocks come polished, brushed, brass-plated or powder-coated. Panel and blocks travel separately, the panel crated on edge, and it is a four-person lift; the blocks are one-person carries. The panel is set onto them in place and nothing is fixed down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A close grain worked over one long slab belongs with our acrylic sculptures; two polished blocks set far in from the corners lead to our metal sculptures, and seating long enough for a whole reception wall joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
