Description

Upright and craggy, this clear resin rock lifts to a tall rounded summit on the left, then drops through a notch to two sharp points on the right, so its skyline steps down like a mountain ridge. Along the bottom edge a small rounded arch opens between two broad feet. Slender curved slivers of bright metallic gold, narrow as blades, are scattered from the summit to the foot, and the rock stands on a wooden base with sloping ends, which comes with it.

A Stepped Skyline Holding Blades of Gold

Its long creases and sharp crests are worked by hand on a casting of imported clear resin, and they run down from the summit like scree. The arch at the foot is left open, so a chink of daylight shows beneath the rock where it meets the base. The golden slivers are narrow and gently curved, and they lie at varied angles through the clear, so that no two pieces read alike. The tapered base is wood in a warm mid-brown, and its sloping ends echo the falling line of the ridge.

Its upright stance suits a hall console or the end of a sideboard, where the stepped skyline stands out cleanly in front of an unbroken wall. Light from behind or beside it brings the creases into relief, and the small arch makes the rock look as though it barely touches down. Indoor use only.

Its Base, Your Changes and the Delivery

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Each order is for a single rock with its wooden base, cast and finished to order. A bespoke commission can carry the slivers in silver or copper, add more of them or fewer, give the skyline another number of peaks, or bring the whole piece to a different scale. Both parts are wrapped and boxed together, and the rock is ready to stand as soon as it is unpacked. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
