Clear Gold Leaf Mountain Group on Brass Resin Sculpture, 70cm, two resin mountain castings with gold leaf on a round brushed brass tray, plain white background.
Clear Gold Leaf Mountain Group on Brass Resin Sculpture - 70cm $3,10600
Description

Two castings in a clear body carrying gold leaf suspended through it, the main one a group of summits highest at the left. They are set on a round tray of brushed brass, and the delivery is two castings and the tray. The second casting is longer and lies low, running out in a spur toward the front of the tray.

The Same Metal in Two States

There is gold in two conditions here and they have to be kept apart. The leaf in the castings is broken and weightless and takes its light through the body; the brass beneath is solid, continuous and takes its light off the top. Put them together carelessly and the tray simply reads as more of the same material, with the mountains dissolving into it. The brushing is what separates them, and its direction is the decision: the grain is run across the line of the peaks rather than along it, so the tray throws light sideways while the castings hold theirs, and the eye reads one as ground and the other as object. An unbrushed tray would mirror the peaks and double them, which is a different and much noisier piece.

The round tray is a serious footprint and wants to be seen whole, so an island or a wide console with nothing else on it is the setting. More of it is seen looking down than looking across, which makes it a table piece rather than a shelf piece. Keep a strong directional light off it if you can: brushed brass takes a hard spot badly and throws it straight back. Soft light from more than one direction lets the leaf inside the castings do the work instead.

The Tray, the Leaf, and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. Positions on the tray are marked to your plan, the leaf is torn coarse or fine, and the tray is made at other sizes or in a darker patina. A stainless version of the tray is offered and is cooler and flatter under the same castings. The bodies are also tinted, though a tint competes with the leaf and is worth seeing before it is settled. It travels as two cases, the tray flat with a facing on each side and the peaks packed clear of it, and the tray is lifted by its edges. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Gold-leafed peaks set out on a made surface belong with our organic sculptures; leaf held through two clear castings earns the piece a place in our resin sculptures, and the round tray of brushed brass beneath ties it to our metal sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
