Description

A broad mountain of clear resin, low in its outline, with gold leaf laid through it in large, bright flakes, most of them gathered across the central summit. The ground falls away gently to the left and drops more steeply on the right past a rounded spur. It rests on the surface itself, unmounted.

Large Flakes of Leaf Across One Summit

The size of a flake decides how gold reads in clear resin. Small flecks give a glitter; large torn pieces of leaf, as here, read as gold itself, each one a distinct bright shape caught at its own depth. The flakes are concentrated where the summit is thickest, so the gold seems to sit in the heart of the mountain, and the thin ground to either side carries only a few. The surface is polished over the whole form, which lets each flake be seen sharply through it.

Shallow as it is, it is seen from the front: a long dresser, a credenza or the rear of a console with a wall behind all suit it. Daylight from one side turns the large flakes bright one after another, and with deep colour on the wall the clear ground almost vanishes, leaving the gold to hang in the air.

Leaf Size, Density and Delivery

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The leaf can be torn finer for a soft shimmer or kept in large pieces, the number of flakes is set to order, and the resin can be tinted around them. Silver can stand in for the gold where a cool tone suits the room, and the summit can be modelled higher if more rise is wanted. It travels in a padded case with the summit cushioned and both ends wrapped, and one person can lift it out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A low mountain with large gold flakes at its heart belongs with our organic sculptures; leaf hung inside the clear casting places it in our resin sculptures, and gold lit in turn by side daylight suits our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
