This guardian lion is cast in clear resin with gold leaf held all through it, thickest across the chest and lighter through the mane and the legs. It sits upright with its patterned ball under the forepaw to the right, viewed from the front; it is modelled in reverse to partner a companion lion that holds its ball to the left, so that a pair is exactly symmetrical.
Reversing a lion is more than moving the ball: the turn of the head, the set of the shoulders and the run of every curl in the mane are all cut the other way, and the two lions are checked against each other before either is finished. Inside, the leaf is gathered in the chest, which leaves the mane clear enough for each curl to show, and the whole surface is polished to full clarity, because clear resin shows a dull patch at once, however small.
At 38cm it is right for a cabinet, a bookcase top or a hall console. Placed with its companion at the two sides of a doorway or a hearth, the pair reads as one composition; alone, it is angled so the ball is towards the approach. A lamp overhead or to one side makes the flakes glint, and in front of a dark ground the colourless body all but disappears, leaving the gold floating.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. It is priced as a single lion: a pair means ordering this one and its companion. The leaf can be scattered lightly or packed densely, and silver or copper flakes can take the place of the gold. Other sizes are cut on request, and the ball can be left smooth instead of patterned. Its own fitted crate carries it, and it needs no more than one person to set it down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear lion made in reverse to partner its companion belongs with our lion statues; a patterned ball resting under a forepaw leads to our figurative sculptures, and gold flakes held deep in colourless resin join our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
