Clear Gold Leaf Crossed Block Rock Resin Sculpture - 22cm
Clear Gold Leaf Crossed Block Rock Resin Sculpture - 22cm $1,75500
Description

Two broad slabs of clear resin cross in an X through the middle of this rock, and around them blocks tilt outwards to the upper left and to the right, while a squared block stands at the top. The faces are glassy above and textured towards the foot. Gold leaf is held in the clear: a crinkled strip of it slants across the left-hand block, fine glittering specks trail in streaks over the top block, and a darker, smoky folded strip with a thin dark sliver sits to the right. At 22cm it is sized for a sideboard, a shelf or a hall table.

Gold Leaf Across a Crossing of Slabs

Imported clear resin is cast for this rock and worked by hand, the broad faces left glassy so the gold can be seen at its full depth and the foot given a finer, frosted grain. The gold leaf appears in two forms: as a strip folded and crinkled like foil, bright where it faces you and dimmer where it turns, and as a glittering dust that trails in streaks across the top block. The darker strip on the right is twisted and smoky, and beside it a thin sliver runs almost upright. The crossing of the slabs and the spread of gold are never repeated exactly.

A sideboard or a console gives it room to be seen, and on a hall table it greets whoever comes through the door, its gold catching the eye without crowding anything nearby. Side light picks up the gold leaf and the streaks of dust in turn, and a darker wall behind lets the crossed slabs stand out. Indoor use only.

Gold Leaf, Crossing and the Carton

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. Your order brings one rock, priced and supplied on its own. Commissioned, the gold can be scattered more thickly, kept to the dust alone, or exchanged for leaf in silver or copper, and the angle at which the two slabs meet can be opened out or closed up. Other sizes are offered on request. It is packed in a fitted carton with foam around every block, and it is lifted out by the crossed slabs at the middle, never by a tilted block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Gold leaf trailing across two crossed slabs of clear resin brings a glint to our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
