Clear Gold Ink Broken Ring on Marble Resin Sculpture, 32cm, with rough gold ends and black ink swirls, set on a black base against a plain white background.
Clear Gold Ink Broken Ring on Marble Resin Sculpture - 32cm $1,55200
Description

A colourless ring, slim in section and opened at one side, with black ink drawn through the arc and a rough gold mass on each of the two ends that face the gap. The ink gathers where the section is deepest and thins toward the break. A black marble base beneath it comes with the ring.

Both Ends of the Break in One Glance

At this size the two gold ends sit close enough to be taken in together, so the break reads as one interruption rather than as two separate events at either end of a journey. That is what the object is about, and it is why the gap is cut as a clean wedge rather than as a wandering split: with both ends in view at once, any disagreement between them is obvious. The ink is drawn to suit: it is run heavier through the lower arc and taken almost out toward the break, so the two gold masses sit against clear material and nothing competes with them.

At 32cm it is small enough for a desk, a bookshelf or a bedside table, and close work is what it is for: the gold is coarse and the ink is fine and both want to be seen from near at hand rather than across a room. Light from behind puts the ink up as a drawing inside the material and leaves the gold reading off the front, which is the position worth finding. It is slim enough for a narrow ledge to take it.

The Break, the Ink, and Delivery

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The gap is drawn wider or nearly closed, the ink is run heavier or left out, and the gold is laid coarse or fine. The break can also be drawn at a greater span to order, which lets it read from further away. A colourless version with no ink at all is offered for a quieter room. It goes out in one flat box with the gap bridged so nothing bears across it, the marble packed apart, and one hand lifts it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A break carried on a small ring is organic sculpture; the inked arc is resin sculpture; and a desk piece is indoor sculpture by definition.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
