This design is a slender square column of clear resin with flakes of gold suspended right through it. A gilded relief climbs its front face: a bird perched on a branch over a low mound, and beneath it a spray of finer branches and leaves. On a clear cap at the top sits a small guardian lion, its head gilded and its body flecked like the shaft. The column comes at three heights, listed as size options.
A gilded relief on a clear shaft is read against whatever is behind it, and behind it is a field of loose gold flakes. That is the difficulty: gilded relief and gold flecks are the same colour, so the relief only separates if it stands proud enough to cast its own shadow. Each figure is therefore cut deeper than it would need to be on an opaque column, and the ground immediately round it is left clear of flakes where that can be managed, so the drawing has a margin to sit in. The branches are the finest passages and are cut last, because they cross the bird and cannot be reached once it is gilded. The finial is worked separately and seated on the cap.
Each height belongs on the floor against a plain wall, where the relief can be read standing; on the tallest it runs from knee to shoulder. On a table it goes above eye level and the drawing is lost. A hallway, a recess or the run of wall beside a doorway will all take it, and two can flank an opening; each price is for one column. Light from the side rakes across the relief and lifts it; a ceiling light lands on the finial and leaves the shaft flat.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The relief can carry this bird and leaf, deer, blossom or bamboo, or be left off for a plain flecked shaft. The gilding is offered in gold, silver or copper, and the flecks can be left out for a clear column. The finial is made in this form, as a plain cap, a sphere or a lotus. The three heights are priced separately, and a height in between can be made on request. It ships upright in a fitted crate with the finial packed clear of the box wall; two people should stand it up and it wants a level floor. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A column carrying a perched bird in gilt belongs with our animal sculptures; a guardian lion crowning the cap leads to our lion statues, and gold suspended at every level of the casting joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
