Clear Gold-Flecked Column with a Two-Tier Gilt Pavilion Resin Sculpture - 120cm
Clear Gold-Flecked Column with a Two-Tier Gilt Pavilion Resin Sculpture - 120cm $6,47400
Description

Two tiers of upturned roof crown the small gilded pavilion on top of this column, the upper roof set over the first on slender posts, with open sides between. It stands on a gilded cap above a four-sided column of clear resin, textured inside like cracked ice and scattered with gold leaf. The column comes with the pavilion.

Two Roofs in Gold Over a Clear Shaft

Each roof of the pavilion is made in gilded metal with its eaves turned up at the corners, and the two tiers are set so the upper roof reads clearly above the first. The column's ice texture lies within the resin, leaving its faces smooth, and the gold flakes sit through it at every depth. The square edges of the shaft run straight from the cap to the foot. No two columns hold their gold in quite the same pattern. The posts are slender, so the pavilion reads as open air under its roofs.

At 120cm the pavilion comes to about chest height, close enough for its two roofs to be read on the way past: a hallway, a landing, either side of a doorway. A plain wall behind it lets the gilded roofs stand out, and side light wakes the gold in the column. Two can stand either side of an entrance as a pair.

Pavilion Finish, Column Height and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The pavilion can be gilded, silvered or given an antique bronze finish, or replaced by a plain gilded cap. The shaft can be smooth rather than textured, and the gold can be thinned or left out. Other column heights are made to order, and a pair can be ordered for an entrance. It arrives laid flat in one crate, the pavilion packed apart and seated by hand, and it needs two people to raise it upright. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A two-tier gilt pavilion crowning a clear shaft belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; an ice texture sealed inside leads to our resin sculptures, and a pavilion raised to chest height joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
