Clear Gold-Flecked Column with a Gilt Pavilion Resin Sculpture - 150cm $7,35900
Description

A small pavilion in gilded metal stands on a gilded cap at the top of a square clear column: four slender posts under a single roof whose eaves turn up at the corners, crowned by a spire. The column below is clear resin with a cracked-ice texture inside it and flakes of gold scattered through its length. Pavilion and column come as one piece.

A Single-Roofed Pavilion on a Glittering Shaft

The gilded pavilion is its own piece of metalwork, set on the cap of the column, so its roof can turn up crisply at every corner. The column's texture sits inside the clear resin, so the faces stay smooth to the hand while the core breaks the light like cracked ice. The gold flakes are scattered through that core, catching the light at different depths. The arrises of the shaft are kept straight and sharp, the only true lines in a column otherwise full of movement.

At 150cm the pavilion is held at eye height, so the piece belongs where the architecture can be seen close: a hall, a stair foot, beside a doorway. Light from the side brings up the ice and the gold inside the shaft; a downlight catches only the roof. Two of them traditionally flank an opening, and this price is for one column.

The Pavilion, the Column and Standing It Up

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The pavilion can be gilded as here, in silver or in an antique bronze, and a plain gilded cap can take its place. The column can be made smooth instead of ice-textured, with or without the gold flecks, and other heights are cut to order. Column and pavilion are crated flat together and seat by hand on site, and two people should stand the column on a level floor. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A gilt pavilion with one upturned roof belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; gold flecks in an ice-textured core lead to our resin sculptures, and a column to frame an entrance joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
