A colourless massif drawn upward rather than along, with gold leaf flecked through the body. The flakes are scattered from the foot to the summit, most of them caught in the main body of the peak. A single summit rises at the back and a lower shoulder steps forward from it, and no face on the piece repeats another. It stands on the surface with nothing beneath it.
A mountain is usually drawn wider than it is tall, which is how a range is seen from a distance. This one inverts that, and the inversion changes what the object is: a form higher than its plan is wide reads as a peak seen from close to, from the valley floor rather than from the next ridge. That in turn decides the modelling. A distant range can be drawn in broad planes because distance flattens it; a near peak cannot, so the faces here carry finer steps and sharper changes of direction than a range twice its size would need.
At 40cm it belongs among other things rather than alone, and a bookshelf, a desk or the end of a console suits it. Beside a piece that spreads sideways it reads as a near peak against a distant view. It needs light from above and to one side; lit from the front alone the forward shoulder loses its separation from the summit behind it.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Its height runs past its plan, so it is met as a summit from the valley rather than as a range from the next ridge, and the modelling follows from that. The proportion is drawn to order, the flake is spread thinner, and a tint is carried through the body. A version drawn wider becomes a distant range and is a quite different object, which is the choice worth making first. It comes in a padded box, the summit sleeved and the shoulder faced on its own, and both hands under the base take it out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A massif that stands rather than spreads belongs with our organic sculptures; gold through an upright massif sets it in our resin sculptures, and a near peak met close to suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
