A colourless curve turns once low down and once again high up, with gold-coloured flecks crowded into the first turn and scattering as the piece rises. The two turns go opposite ways, so the silhouette is an S laid against the vertical rather than a spiral. It stands directly on the surface with no stone under it.
An uneven distribution has to look chosen. Flecks that crowd into the first turn and thin out above it can read two ways: as something that settled where the material was heaviest, which is what is wanted, or as a batch that ran short, which is not. The difference is entirely in the rate. A sharp edge to the crowded area looks like a tide mark; too gradual a change and the piece just looks unevenly made. What works is a dense core with a long scatter above it and nothing that could be called a boundary anywhere, and the only way to judge it is to stand the piece up and walk away from it, because at arm's length every distribution looks deliberate.
It stands with nothing under it, so it wants a surface solid enough to be the base. A stone top, a heavy timber or a plinth all read correctly; a glass shelf makes it look temporary. Set on a hall floor or a low plinth, its 96cm lifts the crown of branching fingers to meet the eye of anyone sitting nearby. Light from low down catches the crowded flecks in the first turn, which is the part of the piece that carries it from across a room.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The flecks crowd into one turn and scatter above it, and that change has to look like settling rather than like running short. On commission a tint can be carried through the first turn, the climb drawn out to another height, and the short forked arm at the far end of the foot turned further out or brought in closer to the climb. Lift it by the heavy turn at the bottom, a hand under the foot, and never by the climbing arm or its crown of fingers. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A curve that turns twice is organic sculpture; the gold in it is held by resin sculpture; and a piece standing on nothing needs the level floors of indoor sculpture.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
