Description

A colourless fanned shell, broad across the top and gathered into a slim stem at the base, its upper edge broken into short spikes and the whole form leaning to one side. Pale flakes of gold are scattered through it, and four openings pass through the lower half. The black marble beneath it is supplied.

Glass-Clear Fan with Pale Gold Flecks

Colourless, the fanned shell reads as glass: the ribbed surface carries a bright line on every rib, and the four openings show the room straight through. The gold is sparse and pale, a scattering of small flakes rather than a mass, so it catches warm light at odd points across the fan without ever filling it. Its rim spikes are thin and sharp, and against a dark wall they draw the outline in light, and that bright outline is the whole reason to cast this fan clear.

At 63cm with its marble it suits a sideboard or a wide console, where its breadth has room. Face its high side into the room. A dark ground behind brings up the spiked outline and the gold; a pale one lets the clear body fade. The spikes want a little clearance from anything beside them.

Clear, Gold or Plain, and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. The gold can be taken out for a wholly clear piece or scattered more thickly, and the body can be tinted. The ribs can be cut sharper or softened. A white or grey stone can stand in for the black marble, and the block can be cut broader for a wide surface. It ships in foam with its marble in a separate box, and it should be held by the body below the rim, keeping hands off the spikes. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
