This cast resin column is a square clear shaft with gold leaf drifting through the resin. One face is carved under the flat cap with a framed panel in shallow relief; on the cap itself sits a little guardian lion in clear resin, and a dark block of the same section carries the shaft at its foot. The panel comes to about the height of a hand held out, and the cap sits below the eye of an adult.
This is the height where a column can still be looked down into rather than only along, and that decides where the work goes. The cap is seen from above at this height, so its top face is taken to the grade the sides get rather than treated as a surface nobody sees, and the seating for the animal is cut so no shadow shows round its foot. The panel is the other consideration. At hand height a passer-by will touch it, so its edges are softened a fraction: a sharp arris at that height chips, and a chip in clear resin reads white.
At 130cm this stands on the floor and is met at chest height: an entrance, a stair foot, an alcove, or one of a pair either side of an opening. It needs level floor and a plain wall behind, since the leaf is read against whatever is beyond it. Daylight from the side gives the flecks their depth. Under a single downlight the cap and the animal light up and the shaft goes grey, which is worth knowing before choosing where it stands.
It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. What is cut into the panel is settled at order and made to your own wording, or the face is left plain. Silver and copper leaf are both offered in place of the gold, and the shaft is also made plain, or tinted through the resin. The cap takes this animal, a sphere, or nothing at all. It ships upright, cased, with the finial boxed apart and seated once the shaft is standing; keep it vertical and lift by the shaft. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A gold-flecked shaft at hand height belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; a panel at the height of a hand leads to our classic sculptures, and leaf drifting through a clear section joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
