Description

Gold-toned flakes hang in the clear water of this two-piece set, packed thickly into the low spray that runs out at one end and drifting more sparsely up through the fluted sail. The sail climbs in deep vertical ripples to a ragged, pointed top, and a rippled wing on its far side holds only a few flakes. Across the front curves a white wave, smooth, opaque and free of any gold, rising to two rounded lobes with a small dark rock tucked under it, and a single glossy black base carries the whole arrangement.

Gold-Toned Flakes Crowding a Clear Spray

The gold sits only in the clear resin, and it is not spread evenly. In the low spray the flakes crowd together, crinkled and bright, with amber-brown patches among them, so that end of the set glows warm from across a room; up in the sail they thin to a scatter that flickers as you move past, and the wing carries barely any. The white wave takes none: a 3D-printed form with a matt, unbroken surface, it is a calm, solid shape set against the glitter behind it, and the glossy black underneath gives the clear water a dark edge to stand out from.

Its footprint is long and deep, so give it a sideboard, a broad console or a wide credenza where both waves are seen at once, with the flecked spray turned towards the brighter side of the room. Light from a window or a lamp coming across it sets the flakes flashing while the white wave stays cool and plain, and a pale wall keeps the edges of the sail crisp. Indoor use only.

The Sail, the White Wave and Moving the Set

Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. This set is sold complete, with its gold-flecked clear wave, its white wave and its glossy black base. As a commission the white wave can take another colour, the sail can be drawn up further at its crest and the whole arrangement can be built to another size. To move it, take the clear wave with a hand under each end and the white wave around its thick middle, keeping hands away from the spray, the wing and the two lobes. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
