Description

A colourless mountain range with flakes of gold leaf suspended in it, clustered thickest in the highest summit, which rises a little left of centre. Minor peaks run out along both sides, and the outline tapers away to a sliver at each end. It sits straight on the surface, with no base supplied.

Gold Held Inside a Clear Ridge

Leaf suspended in clear resin is seen at every depth at once, so it reads as light inside the rock rather than as a coating on it. Here the flakes are kept sparse along the outer peaks and allowed to cluster in the main summit, which draws the eye to the middle of a long form with its outline left untouched. The pour decides where each flake comes to rest, so no two castings carry one scatter, and the faces are polished after the leaf has settled, so every flake is seen through a clean surface.

Gold inside a clear body wants moving light: daylight from a side window, or a lamp a little behind the piece, turns the flakes on and off as anyone walks past. A long console suits it, and so does the top of a cabinet where it is met at eye level. Deep colour on the wall behind lifts the gold.

How Much Gold, and Delivery

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The leaf can be torn finer for a glitter or coarser for distinct flakes, the density is raised or thinned to order, and a tint can be carried through the clear body around it. Other lengths of ridge are made as well, and silver leaf can be had instead of gold. Shipping is in one foam-lined case shaped to the ridge, every peak supported, and two people take it out between them. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear ridge with gold gathered in its peak belongs with our organic sculptures; leaf that settled where the pour left it puts it in our resin sculptures, and flakes turning on and off in passing light suit our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
