Clear Gold Fleck Low Range on Marble Resin Sculpture, 60cm, with gold-flecked peaks on a thin black marble base, shown against a plain white background.
Clear Gold Fleck Low Range on Marble Resin Sculpture - 60cm $1,61900
Description

A low colourless range flecked with gold from end to end. One summit near the left end stands well above the rest, and a run of small summits carries the skyline away to the right. Beneath it is a thin black marble slab, a little wider than the casting on every side, which lifts it just clear of the surface.

A Slab That Lifts It Without Raising It

Most stones under a sculpture are plinths: they raise the object, give it ceremony and become part of what is bought. A slab this thin does none of that. It lifts the range by the thickness of a book cover, which is exactly enough to separate it from whatever it stands on and not nearly enough to make a display of it. The decision is a fine one and it goes the other way easily - any thicker and the piece acquires a pedestal it was never drawn to have.

Marble shows past the casting on every side, so whatever the piece is set on is seen around it and matters. Timber, a pale stone or a plain painted surface all work; a patterned one shows through the clear body as well as around the slab. It is long and shallow, so it finds room on a narrow surface easily, and it is low enough to look down on.

Stone Thickness, the Flake, and Delivery

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The marble under it is only a thin slab, which separates the range from its surface without turning into a plinth. The stone is cut thicker or taken away, the flake is spread more densely, and a tint is run through the body. A thicker slab makes a more formal object and changes what the piece is for. It comes in one padded box, the slab boxed beneath the casting and both faced, and it is carried flat in two hands. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A gold-flecked range with one high summit sits beside our organic sculptures; a clear range on a slab barely thicker than a line belongs in our resin sculptures, and a low range read from above is made for our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
