A colourless massif with gold leaf flecked right through the body. The faces are cut into deep flutes that radiate from the summit to the foot, and a lower shoulder stands away to the right of the main mass. Its depth is slight, and it sits directly on the surface with nothing supplied to stand it on.
Flake suspended in a clear body is only as good as the shape around it. Each flute here is a curved face, and the leaf seen through one is never the same twice: close and bright at one angle, displaced at the next, briefly gone at a third, so walking past the piece makes the gold move through it. That is the whole reason the faces are fluted this deeply rather than stepped. A shallow step would leave the flake sitting at one fixed depth and the object would read as a printed pattern under a clear skin. The cost is that the flutes have to be drawn before the leaf is in, on a guess about where it will settle.
It is wide and needs the whole of its width, with nothing set against either end, because the flutes run out to the edges and a neighbouring object cuts them off. Light from behind is what it wants: a window across the room, a lamp set back on the same surface, anything that puts brightness into the body rather than onto it. A console at standing height reads best, since the flutes are drawn to be met square rather than looked down into.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The flute depth is drawn to order, the leaf is torn coarser or finer, and the whole body is tinted. A second casting of this same form is made with the flake run far denser, which comes out reading as copper rather than gold and is a different object in the room. Frosting the surface is also offered and stops the lens effect entirely. It travels in one padded case with the summit sleeved and the shoulder packed separately against it, and two people lift it by the foot rather than by the peaks. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A fluted massif read through itself belongs with our organic sculptures; gold seen through curved flutes puts it in our resin sculptures, and a clear mass with light set behind it suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
