Description

Gold-toned flakes, many of them fine slivers, are scattered thickly through this colourless cast resin splash, from the floor of its rounded bowl to the forked tip of its stalk. On the left a broad wall rises out of the bowl and arches across it as a band cut through with long slots, then gathers into an upright stalk pierced low down by a small round opening; the stalk ends in two prongs and swings a slim loop round to the right, closed by a short upright finger. Inside the bowl, spray stands up in fingers of uneven height under a net of thin strands, and a low arm stretches the other way to a cluster of points.

Slivers of Gold-Toned Colour Tracing a Clear Arch

In a colourless casting the gold does the drawing. The flakes run from broad, crinkled pieces to slivers as fine as a pencil line, and they are spread thickly enough to trace every part of the splash: the floor of the bowl, the band with its slots, the stalk and the loop all carry them, so the outline reads in warm points even where the clear resin almost disappears. Against a pale wall the resin turns quiet and the gold leads; against a darker one the edges come forward and the flakes sit inside them like sparks caught in water.

Its 55cm is right for a study desk or one end of a sideboard, where the loop and the forked tip come close to the eye of anyone working or seated nearby. Daylight falling across it sets the flakes glinting along the band; keep the wall behind it plain, or the slender loop disappears against it. Indoor use only.

The Loop, the Prongs and Lifting It

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Each order is for one splash, with its gold-toned flakes spread from the bowl to the prongs. As a commission the band can be drawn further across the bowl, the loop opened wider and the tip given a third prong, and the whole design can be made at another size. Lift it by the bowl, held from beneath with both hands, and keep fingers away from the loop and the prongs, which are slender and easily caught. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
