Description

This clear resin rock spreads outwards from a narrow foot into a broad, fan-like crown. On the left a pointed wing juts out sideways beneath a low shoulder; from there the outline climbs to a high, rounded summit right of centre, and on the right a full lobe swells out before the side tucks back in. Every face is netted with glossy white ripple lines, like sunlight wavering on the floor of a pool, and crumpled flakes of gold leaf are caught here and there within it.

Gold Leaf Under a Net of White Ripples

Imported clear resin makes up the body, its surface drawn into a close web of raised ripples that gleam white along their crests and leave glassy hollows between them. Through those hollows the gold shows as crumpled foil, bright and folded, with ragged edges that flash as the viewing angle changes. They gather on the wing, high in the crown, out towards the right-hand lobe and low near the foot. The web of ripples and the scatter of gold are never quite repeated from one rock to another.

Its fan-shaped spread wants a broad surface: a sideboard, a credenza or a wide console gives it room, as does a reception desk facing an entrance. A plain, darker wall behind makes the white web stand out, while a lamp close by wakes the gold. Keep clutter away from the wing so the outline reads cleanly. Indoor use only.

More Gold, Less Gold, or None

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The gold leaf can be gathered more generously across the crown, held to a few flakes, or left out so the web of ripples is all there is, and silver or copper leaf can take its place. Other sizes can be cast on request. The price covers one rock, sold on its own. It is packed into a padded crate, and the safest hold is low on the body with both hands, keeping clear of the wing. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A fan of clear resin netted with white ripples and flecked with gold belongs among our resin sculptures; its spreading outline suits our abstract sculptures, and on a sideboard it joins our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
