Description

A mountain range in clear resin stretches the length of this piece, starting as a low tail at one end and climbing along a broken ridge to a jagged summit near the other, where it drops away in ragged steps. Close to the low end a small arch opens at its foot. Fine white lines craze the whole body, like a frozen pond struck hard enough to crack but not to shatter, and crumpled flakes of gold are caught among them. The range rests on a long black marble base.

Cracked Ice Climbing to a Ragged Summit

Imported clear resin gives the range its glassy body, and the white crazing is what turns glass into ice: the lines branch, cross and break off at every angle, so the surface seems to hold countless small fractures. The faces break into broad planes, each catching its own highlight, and the arch at the foot lets the wall behind show through. The gold is metal leaf crumbled into small bright flakes, scattered loosely along the ridge, and no two ranges crack or hold their gold in quite the same way. The marble base is a plain, flat slab, longer and wider than the range, so a margin of black frames it.

Laid along a console table, a sideboard or a credenza, the range can be read from end to end like a skyline, and a reception desk suits it just as well. The black marble below sharpens the white crazing, and a pale wall behind the range lets its broken outline read clearly. Indoor use only.

Flake Colour, Base Stone and Safe Arrival

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The gold can give way to copper or silver flakes, massed along the ridge or kept to a scattered few, and the marble below can be swapped for a different stone. The range can also be made at other lengths on request. The order is for one range on its base. Both go out in a fitted crate, and the range is lifted by its body and never by the summit. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
