This square column of clear resin is flecked with gold, and up its front climbs a gilded relief: a bird perched beneath a canopy of broad leaves, a low mound under it, and a spray of twigs nearer the foot. On the cap sits a guardian lion with a gilded head. The lion is supplied with the column.
The leaves above the bird are the broadest gilding on the shaft, so each is cut with its veins and a turned edge to stop a wide area of gold reading as flat metal. Beneath them the bird is modelled enough to cast a small shadow on the clear ground, and the twigs nearer the foot are cut fine so the scene thins as it descends. The cap is squared to the base of the column rather than to the shaft, which keeps the lion upright to the room. No two columns place their flecks alike.
At 131cm the lion is met at shoulder height by someone standing, which makes it a column for an entrance, a turn of the stairs or a doorway. Light raking across the face brings up the veins of each leaf, while a plain wall keeps the relief easy to read. Two can frame an entrance, each priced singly. It needs only a level floor.
Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Another scene can be cut in place of this one, or the shaft left plain with only its flecks, and silver or copper can stand in for the gilt. The lion may be gilded all over or kept clear. It is packed upright in one crate with the lion boxed on its own and set on the cap by hand; two people should lift the column. Order two and they are matched for the density of their flecks. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A column under a lion with a gilded head belongs with our lion statues; a bird sheltering beneath a gilded canopy leads to our classic sculptures, and gold flecks hung through the shaft join our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
