Clear Frozen Slab Two Rock Peak Resin Dining Table, 190cm, with black rock peaks rising through an icy clear slab above two rough black pedestals, on a plain white background.
Clear Frozen Slab Two Rock Peak Resin Dining Table - 190cm $14,51300
Description

This dining table's slab is clear resin, thick and torn round its edge, and it carries two black rock peaks of unequal size, each standing directly above one of the two rough black pedestals below. The eye follows each mass straight down through the slab, so the clear sheet reads as ice with rock coming up through it.

Two Peaks, One Over Each Pedestal

The torn edge and the frozen face are modelled into the mould, so the texture runs off the top and down under the lip without stopping at a line. The two pedestals are built up in fibreglass over modelled forms and neither matches the other. The two peaks are each set from the pedestal beneath them rather than from the ends of the slab, and getting both relations right at once is the careful part of the build. The slab is checked flat on both diagonals before either peak goes on.

This is a dining table that holds a room's attention, and it can be made to other lengths to suit the space it goes into. Both peaks sit over their pedestals, so the piece has a definite front worth settling first, and the two pedestals bear on small footprints, which suits a hard floor.

The Pedestals, the Torn Edge, and Which Length

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Most of it is the pedestal rock work. You settle three things. Any length can be built to order, with one peak or three in place of two, and the pedestals drawn to outlines of your own. You give the slab length and the pedestal height. Order the group as one and the two peaks are set over their pedestals to the same relation on every piece. The crate is built so nothing touches the torn slab edge and the two peaks; four people take it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A frozen slab with a peak over each rock gives our art furniture a dining table; the rock pedestals belong with our organic sculptures, and the clear slab with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
