Two spires stand at the centre of this frosted massif, cast hollow and carrying no tint at all. Ridges run down from both spires to a broad skirt that reaches almost to the ends of the piece. Nothing is suspended in the material and nothing is applied to it, and the body is deep from front to back.
Frosting a small casting is a finish. Frosting a surface this broad is a consistency problem, and it is the only real difficulty this piece has. The treatment has to arrive at the same density at the far end as at the near one, across ridges, into the hollows between them and over two spires, and a patch that comes up slightly brighter or slightly duller does not read as variation - it reads as a repair. There is no way to correct one area without redoing the surface either side of it.
It is sideboard scale rather than shelf, and it arrives near the eye of anyone seated. A long wall with a low surface under it suits it best. Matt and untinted, it needs light rather than a bright background: a lamp to one side picks the ridges out, and a window directly behind turns the whole thing into a pale silhouette.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The frosted treatment has to hold its density across a broad worked surface, which is the real difficulty of a piece this size. The span is cut back, the surface is polished instead, and a tint is run through the body. Polishing it makes a transparent object of the same form and shows the hollow wall at every edge. It ships in a single long case, both spires sleeved apart, and three people move it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Two spires over a frosted skirt belong with our organic sculptures; a matt finish held across a broad hollow shell sets them in our resin sculptures, and a worked face under raking lamplight suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
