Clear Frond Bundle Resin & Glass Side Table - 90cm, featuring ribbed clear resin fronds forming the base and a round glass top, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Frond Bundle Resin & Glass Side Table - 90cm $5,94000
Description

This cast resin and glass side table has a plain glass disc for its top. Beneath it the base is a bundle of tall fronds in clear resin: each one is ribbed along its length, broad at the top where it splays outward and narrow at the bottom, and they gather together at the waist before spreading again into a low foot. The tips curl over at the top and it is on those tips that the glass rests. Below the fronds a plain round foot sits flat on the floor.

A Bundle of Fronds Under Glass

The base is the whole piece and it carries more detail than anything else here. Tall fronds gather in a bundle, each ribbed along its full length, broad and splaying at the top and narrow at the bottom, drawn together at a waist and then spreading again into a low foot. Their tips curl outward, and it is on those tips that the glass rests, so the contact between base and top is a set of small points rather than a ring. Every rib is polished, including the inner faces where two fronds face each other, which can only be reached by hand. The glass is plain and untinted and does nothing but provide a level plane.

Its height is that of an occasional table, so it suits a hall, a window or the end of a long sofa. The fronds are the piece and they want to be seen from every side, which makes an open position essential. The glass shows whatever is beneath it, so the base is read through the top as well as around it. Very heavy, and the glass travels separately. Indoors.

The Fronds, the Glass, and the Lead Time

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the frond bundle. Three points are open. The frond count can be changed, the resin is offered tinted, and the glass is available in another diameter or smoked instead of clear. You name the overall height. Top diameter is open, and so is overall height. Where the way the fronds splay at the top has to agree, order the pieces together rather than singly. Its crate is shaped round the glass disc and the frond tips, and four people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A bundle of ribbed fronds under glass belongs with our organic sculptures; as an occasional table it rounds out our art furniture, and an open position in one of our indoor sculptures settings.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
