Description

The Clear Fractured Ice Block Leaf Resin Sculpture rises from its marble base, a rough-hewn clear resin form with botanical material set inside the casting. The exterior is broken and faceted like split ice, and the transparent body carries light the full depth of the piece.

Botanical Inclusions Set in Clear Resin

This clear resin leaf sculpture is cast in clear resin with leaf material positioned by hand before the pour, so every casting holds its own arrangement and no two are alike. The outer faces are irregular and fractured like split ice, with some of them polished clear so the light can enter, which leaves the piece part rough and part optical. It is supplied on a marble base cut to sit flush beneath the casting, which gives it the mass to stand as a single feature.

At 56cm the piece works on a console table, a shelf, a study desk or a hallway chest, and the base means it needs no plinth of its own. The clear body takes its cast from whatever surrounds it, so it settles against pale oak, walnut, brushed brass, plaster and stone without competing. Indoor use only.

Choosing the Inclusion, and What It Costs in Time

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Most of that time goes on the inclusion. Alternative inclusions are offered, alternative base stone including black marble, and the overall span can be specified to order. Fully bespoke commissions are worked from a brief. The faceted faces are hard but the arrises are fine, so the piece ships in a fitted crate with the base packed separately. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
