Description

In this low table a thick clear disc is worked into a dense field of folds over its whole upper face, with a smooth frosted circle at the centre and a torn edge all round, standing on a frosted cone in a deep green. The folds catch the green from below, so the top is read as clear at the rim and coloured towards the middle.

A Folded Disc on a Frosted Cone

The folds are worked into the upper mould face across the whole disc and stopped short of the centre, where the face is left smooth and frosted instead, so a worked surface and a plain one come off the same piece. The edge is left torn all round. The cone is built hollow to an even wall and frosted rather than polished, so it carries the disc without adding a second bright surface beneath it. The cone's bearing face is trued across its whole width first, because a disc this wide will not take up any error under it.

At 80cm it suits a pair of chairs and a sofa rather than a large arrangement, and the frosted centre is where a glass goes - the folded field around it will not hold one level. The folds are read from above and the green cone from a seated position, so the piece divides into two things depending on where the viewer is. The cone meets the floor on a ring no wider than a dinner plate, so an uneven surface shows at once.

The Folding, the Frosted Centre, and the Cone

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The schedule follows the folded face. Three specifications are yours. The cone can be taken to any tint, the frosted centre can be run to any diameter, and the folds can be worked over the whole face. Neither the disc span nor the cone reach is fixed. Nothing holds the depth of the folding between separate orders. The frosted centre and the cone foot are packed clear, and the top and the cone travel separately so nothing rests on the folded face. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
