This colourless splash is about the size of a table lamp. From a cup of upright fingers at its foot the spray sweeps up one side and over the top in a broad loop, and from the far end of that loop one arm lifts clear and folds back over at the top into a cluster of short points. Where the arm leaves the loop, at about the middle of the piece's height, the water closes round a small ring, the smallest thing on the piece, so the arm above and the fingers below are read against it. A spray of forked fingers fans out on the other side, everything is left untinted, and it stands on the block of white marble it comes with.
Scale changes what a form demands. On a piece built to fill a room, a closed ring is a comfortable handful of material and can be worked from every side. Here the same element is a few centimetres across, and the whole of the drawing that matters happens inside it: the thickness of the loop, how round it is, how much daylight gets through it and where the arm above crosses it. There is no room to correct any of that, and no distance at which it can be checked, because the piece will be seen from arm's length rather than across a room. Small work is often assumed to be easier. On this form it is the opposite.
Small enough to be met at close range, it repays a surface people pass rather than one they look across. Set at about working height the ring is seen properly; met from above the eye it closes up and the piece becomes a shape. At 51cm on its block it fits a desk, a shelf or a side table, and it asks for little more surface than the block itself. Light from the side does more for it than light from above, so it is worth trying in two or three places before it is settled.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. It is a small piece and the ring inside it is finer again, so most of the drawing happens inside that one small opening. A pale blue is carried through the body, the ring is drawn open, and the piece is made at twice this size. The marble comes in this white or a darker stone, and the arm can be folded further over where a closed silhouette is wanted. It is packed in one padded box with the arm faced and the stone under it; to unpack it, lift it by the cup at its foot and never by the arm. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One arm folded over a closed ring is organic sculpture in miniature; the casting is resin sculpture; and detail at this size wants the close quarters of indoor sculpture.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
