A long curtain of clear acrylic fins holds a form of pale, honey-coloured timber within it. Each fin is a narrow strip that rises on one side, rounds over the top and comes down the other, and side by side they make a clear screen with a gently waving top edge. The timber inside is built from thin layers whose edges ripple like contour lines, gathered into a rounded loaf with the grain showing at its end, and it sits clear of the long black metal bar that runs through the curtain at its foot and out beyond it at both ends.
The piece sets two materials against each other. The fins are clear and regular, every strip the same width at the same spacing, so they read as a screen of fine lines that holds still; the timber inside is warm and irregular, its layers stepping in and out so the form seems to ripple. Seen through the fins, the timber breaks into vertical bands, and as you walk along the curtain the bands shift, so the form inside appears to move while the screen in front of it does not. The black bar under it all is the one plain, straight line in the piece, and it carries the eye along the whole length.
This is a floor piece on an architectural scale: its bar runs well past the curtain at both ends, so it asks for open floor along its whole length, the kind a lobby or a gallery gives, where it can be walked along from end to end. Seen from the side, the timber reads through the fins; seen from an end, the fins close up into a denser screen, so a place that lets people pass along its length shows it best.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The length of the curtain, the number of fins and the form of the timber are drawn per commission, so the same idea can be made to fill another length of wall, with the timber's rippling layers drawn to a new outline. The bar's black can be changed for another colour that suits the floor. When it is moved, the fins are taken by their feet and never by the rounded top, the timber is lifted from beneath, and the bar is carried at both ends. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A layered timber form inside a curtain of clear fins, it joins our organic sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
