Clear Fanned Leaf Base Resin & Glass Dining Table, 130cm, with fluted resin leaves flaring from a round base beneath a round glass top, on a plain white background.
Clear Fanned Leaf Base Resin & Glass Dining Table - 130cm $12,69100
Description

In this cast resin and glass dining table a plain round glass top with a polished edge rests on a clear resin base cast as a bundle of long fluted leaves, flaring out from a narrow waist and curling back at the tips, and that stands in turn on a round clear disc. The leaves are the piece; the glass is there so the leaves can be seen through it from a seated position.

Leaves Fanned Out to Carry a Round Glass Top

The base is cast as a bundle of leaves, each one fluted along its length and curled back at the tip, and the flutes are modelled into the mould so they run the full height of every leaf. The leaves are worked back by hand where they cross, since that is where a cast bundle usually loses its separation. The glass is a plain round pane with a polished edge, made to the base rather than the other way round, and it is supplied loose so the leaves can be seen through it from a seated position.

Being round, it means no corner falls where a chair does at any position round it, and conversation crosses it easily. The leaves are the reason to have it and they are seen through the glass from a seated position, so it suits a room with light coming down onto the table rather than across it.

The Glass, the Leaf Count, and What Arrives Separately

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Most of it is the fanned leaf base. Three things can change. The leaf count can be raised or lowered, the base is offered tinted, and the glass can be supplied clear as here or in a smoked or bronzed pane. Only top diameter and overall height need naming. When the spread of the fanned leaves has to agree across pieces, they are made in one run. It arrives with the glass top and the leaf tips boxed off, and four people are wanted to set it down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A bundle of fanned leaves seen through glass sits with our organic sculptures; for dining it serves among our art furniture, and a room with light from above among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
