This display stand is a faceted clear frame on a small foot, so slender from front to back that it takes almost no room on a surface. Inside the opening, three short shelves are cantilevered from one side at different heights, each reaching part way across and leaving the rest of the opening clear. The frame's outline is cut into flat facets rather than curves, so it reads as a hewn form rather than a moulded one.
Cantilevering a shelf from a clear frame means the joint is the whole structure and the whole appearance at once. Each shelf is let into the frame across its full thickness rather than butted to the face, so the load is spread and the joint reads as a continuation of the frame instead of an addition to it. On a colourless body the housing is visible from both sides, which is why it is cut to a tight fit and polished before bonding. The outer facets are then worked so each one catches light at a different angle, and the number of them is what decides whether the frame reads as faceted or merely rough.
A stand this shallow belongs on a shelf, a dresser or a desk rather than the floor, and at 50cm it fits where a deeper piece would not, beneath a wall cupboard. It holds small things: a few pieces of jewellery, three or four small objects, a watch. It wants light coming through it rather than onto it, so a windowsill or a lit shelf earns its keep. Against a busy wall the facets are lost.
Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Shelf count is open, from two to five, and they can be cantilevered from alternate sides for a staggered arrangement. Shelf depth can be increased where more is to stand on them. Frame height and the facet pattern are both set at order, and the acrylic is offered tinted. It arrives assembled, since the housings are cut and bonded together, and it is an easy one-person carry. It travels boxed on all faces, the cantilevered shelf ends being the parts that catch in transit. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Shelves cantilevered off one side belong with our acrylic sculptures; an outline cut into flat facets leads to our geometric sculptures, and display for a watch or a few small pieces joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
