This resin scholar's rock stands as a narrow upright on a black marble base, which is supplied. What distinguishes it is the run of pendant forms: from the underside of the upper mass a dozen tapered points hang down, some long and some short, like a fringe under an overhang. Below them a single large void opens through the middle of the stem. It is colourless and fully polished.
The pendants are the whole object and they need looking at closely. They hang from the underside of the top third, unequal in length and thickness, some tapering to a fine point and some ending blunt, and they are not in a row: they crowd towards one side and thin out towards the other. Because the piece is polished throughout, each pendant carries a bright line down its length, so a dozen of them together read as a run of vertical highlights under a dark overhang. Above them the upper mass is broad and irregular, and below them the stem twists back and opens into one large void before spreading onto the base. The whole thing is narrow front to back, which is what lets a fringe this busy stay legible instead of turning into a thicket.
At 89cm this belongs on a surface where the pendants sit near eye level, which is the only way to read them. A console, a sideboard, a credenza or a desk all suit it, and it needs nothing beneath. Two things to plan for: the pendants are fragile and hang at the height of a passing sleeve, so a surface out of the traffic is worth choosing; and they need light from below or from the side to carry, since a downlight leaves the whole fringe in the shadow of the mass above it. A dark ground behind separates the pendants from one another. Indoor use only.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The fringe is specified at order: a dozen pendants as here, or as few as four, which reads far more deliberate, or as many as twenty for something closer to a cave formation. Their length can be run down and blunted, and that is the version the studio recommends where the piece will be in a family room, since the long fine points here are genuinely delicate. On the rest: the single void can be widened or multiplied, and the colourless body can be cast in a smoke grey or an amber instead. It is built at other heights too, with the fringe scaled to suit. Packing takes account of the fringe: it goes out standing with each pendant in its own sleeve and a moulded former across the whole run, it should be unpacked from the top rather than tipped, and two people should do it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear rock fringed with pendants belongs with our abstract sculptures; a dozen points hanging under an overhang join it to our organic sculptures, and polished clear resin drawn into drips suits our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
