Description

Rounded and humped, this rock of imported clear resin swells up to a crown left of centre and then slopes away to the right in one long, gentle line. A wide, low arch hollows out the middle of the foot, leaving the rock to bridge a gap. Smooth, glassy pools open in the crinkled surface, and inside them small dried leaves in olive brown can be seen clearly, each with a fine midrib, several with a stalk, some folded and curled at the tips.

Around the pools the resin is crinkled and rippled like wind-blown water, which frames each clear patch and draws the eye towards the leaves. The leaves are papery and natural, olive at the centre and shading to tan at the edges, one or two with a darker freckle, and they lie at different depths so that a few seem to float just under the surface. The arch is broad and smoothly rounded on its underside, giving the rock a light, bridging stance. Real leaves never repeat exactly, so their shapes and shades differ slightly with every rock.

Seen from above on a coffee table, the leaves show at their best, though a desk or a console suits the rock equally well. A pale surface under the arch keeps it bright, and soft side light from a window warms the olive of the leaves. Leave space around it so the long slope of the outline reads. Indoor use only.

A Humped Arch, Bespoke Leaves and Delivery

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Each order brings a single rock, priced for one. Made bespoke, it can hold leaves in reds, golds or greens, the pools can be widened so more of the clear shows, and the arch can be drawn higher or flatter; the rock itself can be made in other dimensions. It is wrapped in foam and boxed with a support under the arch, and it is lifted from beneath with both palms flat. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
