Clear Dried Leaf Domed Rock Resin Sculpture on Wood Base - 50cm
Clear Dried Leaf Domed Rock Resin Sculpture on Wood Base - 50cm $2,36100
Description

Shaped like a weathered hill, this rock of clear cast resin is high and round towards the left and falls in a long curve to its right-hand end, its foot lifting in a gentle bow at the centre. Small dried leaves in grey-brown and russet drift through it as if falling, most with a midrib showing. A warm natural wooden base is supplied with the rock, and every order is for one rock and its base.

Dried Leaves Drifting Through a Rounded Hill

A rippled, icy texture covers the outside and a web of fine lines runs over it, yet the resin remains transparent, so the leaves can be seen floating at varied depths. Each is slim and pointed, curved a little along its length, with a fine midrib and, on some, a short stalk, and no two lie at quite the same angle. The base is natural wood in a warm, mid-toned finish, its grain running the full length and its ends sloping outwards towards the bottom, which gives the rounded rock a broad, steady footing.

On a console, a sideboard or a reception desk it brings a softer note than a squared object would, and the natural timber sits easily beside oak, walnut or painted furniture. Daylight from the side gives the rippled skin its shine, while a darker wall behind makes the brown leaves look richer. Indoor use only.

Leaves, Timber and Getting It Home

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. The leaves can be traded for other dried plant material or for metal leaf, the timber base can be cut in another wood or given a coloured finish, and a bespoke outline or scale is possible on commission, drawn up from a sketch or a description. It arrives crated, with the timber wrapped apart from the resin, and two people make light work of unpacking it, lifting the rock from beneath rather than by its dome. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Dried leaves drifting in a hill of clear resin belong to our resin sculptures; the soft, uneven silhouette suits our abstract sculptures, and with its timber base it finds a home in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
