This flat, square tile of crystal-clear resin holds a dried botanical specimen, laid out to be looked down on like a find mounted on a glass slide. Clear resin rings it all round, so its outline, texture and colour can be examined closely, and the polished top gives the whole tile a glassy, reflective finish. The edges are cut square and crisp, and through the thick sides the specimen can be glimpsed edge-on.
Crystal-clear resin gives the tile its depth, its top polished to a smooth gloss that mirrors whatever is above it and its square edges finished crisp. Seen from above, the specimen keeps its natural texture in full, down to its finest ridges and fibres, and its colours stand out against the resin. The tile is slim enough to lie flat and steady, and it feels pleasingly solid when picked up. Dried plant material keeps an irregular form of its own, so each tile's specimen differs in shape and shade from the last.
Lying flat, it is made to be looked down on, which makes it a natural fit for a coffee table or a writing desk, and a low shelf works too, within easy reach for lifting it and turning it over. A pale surface beneath it shows the specimen clearly, and daylight from a window catches the polished top. Indoor use only.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The price is for one tile, and each tile is sold individually. Commissioned bespoke, it can hold a specimen chosen with you, perhaps a flower head, a few seeds or a sprig of grass, and it can be made in another proportion or deepened into a block. It travels flat in a padded box with its corners protected and is ready for the table straight from its wrapping. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Crystal-clear resin laid out like a glass slide around one dried specimen links this tile with our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
