An upper fold thrown out wide to one side above a waisted foot, the whole sweep reading as one continuous length rather than as a set of surfaces. Colourless throughout, with the only tone in it the shadow one fold throws across the next. The black marble it stands on is part of the order.
The thinnest part of the piece is its outer edge, and that is deliberate: a colourless body returns a bright line wherever it is thin, so the drawing is made of the edges and the middle of each fold does almost nothing. What the material does here is hold an edge: a fold this thin in a colourless body shows as a bright line and not as a shadow, and the outline is made of those lines. Polished throughout, and the thin edges are left crisp rather than eased so the lines stay sharp.
It belongs on a floor beside a run of wall, turned so the wide fold reaches into the room. A dark ground at its back, since a colourless drapery on a pale wall has no outline at all. Raking light along the folds finds every edge; light square onto them flattens the whole sweep. Nothing about it carries as a mass; what reads from the door is the line of the upper fold.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. We will bring the span in, open the fold further, or cut the marble to another plan. Bring the span in and the waist is drawn fuller, because a fold reaching this far needs more body beneath it than a narrow one. Casting and marble travel in one crate and are married up where the piece will live. Three people, hands on the waist rather than the folds. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear drapery sweep thrown wide at the top belongs to our organic sculptures; the colourless casting sits among our resin sculptures, and a long run of wall gives it room among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
