Clear Deer Head with Leafed Branch Antlers - 170cm, a clear resin sculpture of a deer's lifted muzzle on a swept foot, with branching antlers of thin leafed limbs, shown against a plain white background.
Clear Deer Head with Leafed Branch Antlers - 170cm $9,31500
Description

A deer's head and long neck rise from a broad swept foot in this clear resin sculpture, the muzzle lifted and the ears laid back. In place of antlers, branches grow from the crown and fork again and again into a wide, open spread of thin limbs, each carrying small pointed leaves along its length. Nothing is dense: the branches read as lines drawn in the air rather than as mass, and everything is optically clear.

Antlers That Grow Into Leafed Branches

Every branch on this piece is a cantilever, and there are dozens of them. Each needs enough section at the fork to hold its reach and little enough at the tip to pass for a twig, and the taper between the two is judged by eye against its neighbours rather than to a rule, because a branch that thins evenly along its length looks manufactured. The leaves are set on afterwards, each one seated into its own small socket, which is the only way they can be given the slight independent twist a leaf has. The head and neck are taken to a smoother finish than the branches: they are the one solid form under a spread of lines, and the seat where the limbs leave the crown is cut broad and polished until the join disappears.

This needs floor and a good deal of it, and it needs air on every side: the branches spread far beyond the head, so an open corner, a stair well or a room with space around it will take the piece and an alcove will not. Measure the doorways before the room. A plain wall or a window behind it is what makes the branches read as a drawing; against planting the crown disappears into what is behind it. Light from one side is what shows the leaves.

Spread, the Leaves and Bringing It Through a Door

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The spread and the number of branches are set at order, and the antlers can be grown denser or kept sparse. A bird or two can be perched among the branches if wanted. The leaves can be left off for bare winter branches. The resin can be tinted warm or cool right through, or the branches alone gilded against a clear head and neck. Any height is cut to order. It arrives in two crates, the branches packed apart from the head and neck, and goes together by hand on site; it takes three people to raise. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Antlers that branch into a leafed crown belong with our deer statues; thin limbs drawn like lines in the air lead to our organic sculptures, and a head and neck of clear resin join our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
