Description

The head of this clear resin rock sweeps up and back to a sharp peak at one corner, like a wave on the point of breaking, while its other side rounds off softly. Below, the form pinches into a waist and then spreads into a broad, rippled mass at the foot. The head is glassy and smooth, the mass beneath frosted and textured, and broad flakes of a dull, dark olive-khaki are scattered through both.

A Wave-Like Peak Over a Pinched Waist

Imported clear resin makes up the rock, polished glass-clear in the head and given a crystalline, frost-like finish below, so the eye is drawn up towards the peak. The flakes are broad and thin, a muted olive-khaki with darker edges, and they lie at different depths, overlapping when seen from the side. Under a lamp their dark rims read like ink lines drawn in the resin. The sweep of the peak and the fall of the flakes are particular to each rock, and no two turn out the same.

At 35cm it is right for a mantelpiece or a hall table, sits neatly on a bookshelf, and leaves a writing desk room to work. Turn the peak towards the room's main window so the swept head catches the daylight, and it will read clearly against a dark shelf or a painted wall. Indoor use only.

The Peak, the Flakes and a Snug Crate

In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The flakes can be scattered more thickly or kept to a few, or left out altogether, and a frosted head, matching the foot, makes a quieter piece. Different sizes can be made for a commission. The rock is sold individually. It is crated for delivery and lifted by the broad mass at the foot, never by the peak, which is the part most easily chipped. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A swept peak of clear resin with dark olive flakes is collected in our resin sculptures; the wave-like gesture suits our abstract sculptures, and on a bookshelf it is at ease among our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
